It all began on a Thursday in August 2004
At a VERY NICE little Motel in Memphis
People
Came from far and wide. Places like New York, Kentucky, Maryland, Florida
Missouri, Michigan and Tennessee. They came to gather for the LBS and HS Spades
1st Annual Group Meeting.
After
checking in everyone went to our Hosts ( Kathy & Charles ) Home. We were
cordially greeted and found out that meal preperations had been on-going since
the day before. There was a flurry of Bar-B-Queing and Broiling and Baking
takeing place so we got out out the way and let the pros handle it.
This is Eddie ( CB_Cajunbabes Husband ) at the Barbie with Bacon Wrapped shrimp in progress.
SG_QueenHurt, our host, slaving over the Pork Roast.

After
a Great meal of Shrimp, Chicken and Pork Roast with all the trimmings, like
Shrimp Fettuchine, etufay, rice and numerous deserts, things picked up a bit and
most gathered around the pool and the Dining Room Hutch ( the bar ).

After
all the scrumptious meals from the night before and the partying around the
pool it was Saturday Morning and we were off to breakfast at IHOP.

After
breakfast some folks spent most of the day sleeping while some went off in
different
directions like Tunica Mississippi to leave some money for the Mississipians.
Then we re-grouped for the Beale Street experience.
From the walking tour we went to the Riverside trolley.
Then is was back to Beale Street for some Party time.
And
then morning came and it was Sunday. We all gathered at the Mariott for
breakfast
and farewells. A lot of new personal and lasting friendships were developed I am
sure.
After breakfast - It was Group Picture time.
Then of course we had to have a Group Hug before spliting up.
